My name is Rachel Weaver. I am a Registered Nurse (RN) and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I have a passion for families, especially breast and chest feeding families.

I have been a Nurse for 19 years in a variety of specialties, spending 14 years in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Lactation Care. I have 7 years of experience as an IBCLC.

I have four children and had varying levels of difficulty breastfeeding them. I often felt confused and frustrated with the lack of adequate support that I received. Over the last fifteen years I have been working, both in practice and education  to make sure that other parents don't feel the way I did.

 

I have experience working with families not only in basic breastfeeding education and feeding concerns, but also with complex medical concerns. I can help prepare a plan for going back to work and even weaning when the time comes.
